2025 Monarch Mania October 4, 2025

The Virginia Osprey Foundation was invited to attend the 2025 Monarch Mania event held on Cobb Island, Maryland, on October 4. The festival celebrates the incredible journey of Monarch Butterflies—another migratory species that travels thousands of miles to Mexico each fall.

It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about these fascinating insects while sharing information about our own migratory friends, the Ospreys. We enjoyed meeting visitors, exchanging stories, and highlighting how both species depend on healthy habitats throughout their migration routes. Events like Monarch Mania remind us how deeply connected all living things are and how community education helps protect them for generations to come.
