Virginia Osprey Foundation at the Stratford Hall Wine & Oyster Festival

The Virginia Osprey Foundation was pleased to participate in the Stratford Hall Wine & Oyster Festival on September 20th and 21st. The weather was beautiful, and we had a chance to speak with many visitors who shared our love of nature and the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.

Our booth featured educational displays about ospreys, their migration, and the challenges they face in maintaining healthy populations. Guests enjoyed viewing osprey artifacts, learning about our conservation efforts, and discovering ways to support local wildlife. We were especially delighted by how many people were familiar with “our” Colonial Beach ospreys and the annual Virginia Osprey Festival!

Participating in community events like this allows us to connect with new audiences, raise awareness about osprey conservation, and celebrate the natural beauty that makes Virginia so special.
