As Executive Director of the Virginia Osprey Foundation, I was honored to be featured in David Gessner’s article, Hunger Pangs, in the June issue of National Audubon magazine.

I am grateful to David and the National Audubon Society for bringing national attention to the challenges facing our beloved Osprey. The Chesapeake Bay is home to approximately 20% of the world’s Osprey population, and we have a responsibility to protect these remarkable birds and preserve the habitat they depend upon.

I also want to extend my sincere thanks to the dedicated volunteers, researchers, conservation organizations, and advocates who continue to work tirelessly toward solutions. While the challenges are significant, we remain hopeful, committed, and determined. We will not give up on the future of the Osprey.
