Colonial Beach is a great base camp for bird watching throughout the Northern Neck

Plan your adventures by checking out the NN loop of the Virginia Bird and Wildlife Trail (https://www.dgif.virginia.gov/vbwt/coastal-trail/CNN).

Below are pictures of some of the sites. (Left to right) Lands End Wildlife Management Area (Photo credit: Meghan Marchetti/ DWR). The next three pictures are all part of the Rappahannock River Valley National WIldlife Refuge, but each are separate units on the loop: Wilna, Laurel Grove and Hutchinson. (Photo Credit: USFWS) Migration season is coming. Get ready to roam, free as the birds!
